Our Services
We provide a range of services to support you and your wellbeing. Counselling is a type of talking therapy which involves discussing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours with a trained professional. Sometimes, it is difficult to make sense of your emotions and you may feel overwhelmed by your thoughts and feelings. Friends and family can be a great source of support when we are experiencing challenges, but sometimes it may be easier to talk through your experiences with someone who is separate from your day-to-day life.
We are here to support you
Counselling gives you the time and space to express your concerns and understand your emotions; it aims to help you identify strategies to manage your feelings and improve your overall wellbeing and mental health. At WPH Counselling, we adopt a person-centred approach, which means that the people we support are considered individually and we adapt our techniques to suit each person’s needs, preferences and circumstances.
We provide compassionate care, reliable information and emotional support in times of crisis and concern. We deliver short-term, time-limited interventions through free one-to-one sessions with a professionally qualified counsellor. Our sessions can be arranged to take place either face to face, over the telephone, or through online video counselling.

Accessibility
We work hard to make our services as accessible as possible and offer varying appointment types to give people flexibility in how they use our services. We can cater for those with accessibility requirements and can also provide support within counselling sessions using qualified interpreters for individuals whose first language is not English, or for those who communicate using other methods, such as British Sign Language (BSL). To learn more about the support we can offer to those with additional needs, please contact us.
How can I receive counselling?
You, your child, or a child you know, can be referred for counselling by a healthcare professional such as your GP or midwife, or other professionals such as social care workers, teachers and youth group leaders. You can also refer yourself, your child, or a child you know by getting in touch with us.
